Getting started
One path from a public product URL to a Build Sequence you can run in your build tool. Five steps, one approval, no guesswork.
1. Paste a product URL
Start in the workspace with the public URL of a product whose logic you want to adapt. VibesClone runs a bounded analysis of the public pages behind that URL — it reads what any visitor can read, links each claim to the evidence it came from, and marks anything uncertain instead of guessing. Nothing is scraped from behind a login.
2. Review the Build Understanding
The analysis becomes an editable Build Understanding: the product's intended customer, the jobs it does, its core flows, and a feature map classified as retain, modify, remove, or add for the niche and USP you choose. Edit any section directly or ask for a rethink until it describes the product you actually want to build. The details live in The Build Understanding.
3. Approve it
Approval creates an immutable snapshot of the understanding. That snapshot — not the live document, not the analyzed site — is the sole source for everything generated next. If you change scope later, the prior approval is invalidated and prompts regenerate from a newly approved version, so your prompts never drift from what you signed off on.
4. Choose your niche, USP, and build target
Tell VibesClone the niche you are building for, the USP that distinguishes your version, and which tool will do the building: Lovable, Replit, Base44, or Claude Code. Platform adapters keep the approved product behavior identical across all four and change only the terminology and instructions. Choosing a build target covers the trade-offs.
5. Get your Build Sequence
Generation produces a Build Sequence: one complete base prompt (order 0) plus 2 to 12 ordered follow-up prompts, each with a stated purpose, completion checks to run before advancing, and the features it maps to. The base prompt is free for every approved project. Follow-up prompts are generated at the same time but withheld server-side until the project consumes a license credit — see Licenses and pricing.
Where to go next
Read Build Sequences to understand why ordered prompts with checks beat one mega-prompt, or go straight to the workspace and start with a URL.
